One of the fun things about blogging is always getting to meet new people. Often that just happens “virtually”, so it’s extra exciting when you finally get to meet those people in person. I have been engaging with Tenzin on Instagram for some time and aside from a short run in at my University, we had never actually hung out in person until this past week. As always, it was a bit nerve wracking working with a new photographer, but Tenzin was so cool and wearing such an epic outfit that it was just lots of fun. CONTINUE READING
We know a huge amount of the world’s goods are made in Asia. After having lived here for 5 years, although still extremely ignorant, I think I have been exposed (at least a little bit) to the exceedingly poor conditions in which a lot of the fast fashion industry’s products are made. Having said that, I am aware that Thailand is significantly better than some, but a few class field trips to the industrial parks with my University have me horrified to think what “bad” must be.
With this in mind, you can see how I get very excited about something that was not only made in a respectable way, but in a way that I would be proud to share. When I found Charlie Middleton, I knew it was just that! CONTINUE READING
And just when I didn’t think I could get any more obsessed with clothes (or silk), THIS TOP HAPPENED. I’ve been borrowing my sister’s Joe Fresh silk shirts for quite some time now, but I finally got one of my own. They are the perfect fit. Worn casually with jeans, to work with trousers or tucked into a skirt, it’s all I ever want to wear. Not to mention I signed into my email today to find a nice Joe Fresh news letter announcing that they’ve just launched a collection of floral print versions of the top. CONTINUE READING!

We all know I’m silk obsessed. Well, I recently got a crazy splatter print silk variation of a superman cape from Jane Suda. Yup, next level. So, in true superman fashion, I headed up to one of the rooftop terraces at my apartment and tried to balance in the wind. Don’t worry, I know I can’t fly. Unfortunately, the photos didn’t turn out nearly as heroic/superman-esque as I imagined, but here are some of what we got. CONTINUE READING!
Nothing beats skinny jeans and stilettos, especially when it’s Levi’s Revel Curve ID and a pair Louboutin. The Revel jeans hold their shape the exact way in which you bought them (so none of that stretching business) and the Curve ID means you will get the perfect fit. If it wasn’t so hot here I would probably live in them! CONTINUE READING
So I need to learn to keep my mouth shut. Apparently taking pictures with Ivana makes me excited. There’s this weird fake grass putting green on the roof of my building, turns out it makes for some pretty colorful pictures! CONTINUE READING!
Well friends, I have officially completed 1.5 weeks of work. I have no clue what I’m doing, but I’m slowly learning the ropes. The biggest shock of starting work was that no one has actually given me any work. Weird right? After 4 years of being in school, where I was always told what to learn, write or remember, showing up at an office in which no one tells me anything is probably the most difficult task of all. So here I am, trying to come up with my own stuff to do, which would somehow help out a huge corporation. Sigh. I’m way out of my league here.
So my baby sister (squirt) agreed to take these photos in exchange for help with her high school homework. It has been a mere 10 days since I finished University, yet somehow here I was again, trying to get my brain to wake up enough to work on an english essay. In the end, she only got a 10 out of 12 on the work I used my bachelor degree skills to help her complete. I blame the fact that I have been 5 years in Thailand, where english goes something along the lines of, “where you go?” But I must admit, I think it was worth it, because clearly my sister has some photo skills. What I’m about to say is probably something that I don’t want the public to know. However, it’s not like I have much of a verbal filter, so I’m going to say it anyways. Lately, I have gotten into the habit of wearing the same outfit several days in a row, up until I can get my dad to take pictures of it and then I change to a new one. Before moving on, I would like to point out that I am currently in Victoria, Canada and am not walking around Bangkok getting all sweaty and stuff. As far as I’m concerned, just so long as I’m not seeing the same people (family excluded), I can repeat an outfit for a few days and it’s no big deal. In fact, it’s actually quite time saving. For instance, these clothes were already in a ball on my floor and I just picked them up and put them on. 2 minutes later, I’m good to go. Voila! CONTINUE READING!
