I recently had the opportunity to write my very first magazine editorial! Although I agonised over what to write and whether it was good enough, I was pretty proud when I finally saw it printed and published.

Curated by Kiki
Top: Tuulla – Skirt: DKNY – Hat: Borrowed from Kiki – Shoes: Converse

I recently had the opportunity to make a new friend, Kiki. She has a fashion blog, but instead of writing about her own personal outfits, she interviews other bloggers, so I was honoured when asked to meet with me. Not only is she absolutely adorable, but she’s kind and hilarious too!
If you’re interested in reading my interview, you can check it out here. Note: there’s a special announcement in the interview that you probably don’t know about yet!

Everything is Cooler at W
I’ve been lucky enough to get to visit many hotels in and around the city, but none of them have tickled my fancy quite like the W Hotel Bangkok. At first I was skeptical, given that the overall decor isn’t really my style, but they managed to have me totally hooked within 2 hours of walking in the door. It got to the point where I felt like they could see into my head, to do everything to entertain me in the best way possible. I was just like a kid in a candy shop, running around giggling over all the cool things.

Heaven
If you read APOE often, you may know that I recently had the opportunity to speak at Business In Heels, a ladies business networking event here in Bangkok. It was my first time public speaking and it was terrifying, but all of the women were so supportive and I couldn’t have asked for a better environment to speak in.
Getting Juicy
Sweater: Gentle Fawn – Backpack: Culture Riot
This past week I did my very first juice cleanse with Lifestyle Juicery. It was quite the experience! I am obsessed with eating and even more obsessed with coffee and wine, so this endeavor was quite a challenge. However, I ended up feeling pretty great after it was over and am still feeling the effects a few days later. I am also quite proud because I managed to do it without cheating at all!

Bangkok Tree House
During hot season my Bangkok adventures tend to involve air-conditioned Uber rides out of my soi to Central Embassy, where I will spend the day in Rocket Coffee Bar working on something, followed by the evening drinking wine on the patio of Water Library. All in the comforts of aircon. Yes, the Water Library patio has some pretty fancy cooling mechanisms on the patio. Basically, I’m super lazy.

Today is the big day! A Piece of Elise is officially one year old. I am so giddy this morning, I feel like I have a human baby who is having a birthday. I will be whipping out the Mimosas in about 2.7 seconds.

Business in Heels
Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of A Piece of Elise! It’s hard to believe how fast this year has flown by. It feels like just last month that I made my wordpress.com account and showed up at a Business In Heels networking event and tried calling myself a blogger. I didn’t know it at the time, but Business In Heels was probably the best thing I could have done at that point. By the end of the party I had met so many lovely ladies, many who have blogs themselves, who would end up teaching me almost all that I know about the internet. They welcomed me with arms wide open and didn’t laugh (too hard) at the fact that I didn’t even know what a Twitter “handle” meant.

Things We Love
I recently had the opportunity to do a quick interview with www.weareona.com, a new platform for insider fashion in cities all over the world. I didn’t realize just how great of a job they would do, so I’m sharing some screenshots with you.
