Charlie Middleton

We know a huge amount of the world’s goods are made in Asia. After having lived here for 5 years, although still extremely ignorant, I think I have been exposed (at least a little bit) to the exceedingly poor conditions in which a lot of the fast fashion industry’s products are made. Having said that, I am aware that Thailand is significantly better than some, but a few class field trips to the industrial parks with my University have me horrified to think what “bad” must be.

With this in mind, you can see how I get very excited about something that was not only made in a respectable way, but in a way that I would be proud to share. When I found Charlie Middleton, I knew it was just that!

Kolour In The Park

DSC_0725 There are a lot of things to consider when dressing for a music festival. There are the practicalities which include, but are not limited to:

  • dance-ability
  • climbing on stages with ease
  • sitting in the dirt without flashing panties
  • the ability to pee in unseemly places
  • the see through factor from sweating too much
  • your top staying on when you flail
  • attaching all things to your body, so you don’t have to carry stuff
  • machine washable clothing, as you will be covered in dirt

A Few Of My Favorite Things

Top: Joe Fresh (similar) – Jeans: J Brand

Shoes: Salvatore Ferragamo (30% OFF!) – Bag: DVF (similar)

And just when I didn’t think I could get any more obsessed with clothes (or silk), THIS TOP HAPPENED. I’ve been borrowing my sister’s Joe Fresh silk shirts for quite some time now, but I finally got one of my own. They are the perfect fit. Worn casually with jeans, to work with trousers or tucked into a skirt, it’s all I ever want to wear. Not to mention I signed into my email today to find a nice Joe Fresh news letter announcing that they’ve just launched a collection of floral print versions of the top.

Guide Of Love

Guide Of Love

Valentine’s Day has never really been my thing. Aside from cute cards written by my parents and another great excuse to OD on chocolate, I have never really been one to celebrate this holiday. However, for one reason or another, I’m getting pretty excited for this one. I have been seeing so many cute Valentine’s inspired mood boards online and perfectly selected department store windows, that I seem to be finding myself getting a little bit into this day of love. After all, why not celebrate something great? I know I’m going to relax, drink some good wine and eat LOTS of chocolate, obviously.

Show Me Your Look!

Blazer: TopShop – Shoes: Charles & Keith (similar) – Jeans: J Brand – Clutch: FLYNOW III

So long as I am not having one of those days where I feel I have “nothing” to wear, putting together outfits is pretty much one of my favorite ways to spend the day. I also enjoy lying on my bed wearing PJ’s, imagining all the outfits I COULD wear if it’s wasn’t so damn hot out.

If you are like me and enjoy adorning your body with epic pieces of clothing, then keep reading because I’ve got something that you’re probably going to like.

I’ve teamed up with to let you know about their current “New Year New Look” contest. All you have to do is upload an outfit, get the most likes and then WIN $500 USD! Cha-ching.

Silk Superman

Top: Jane Suda – Bralette: Community via Aritzia – Shoes: Joe Fresh

Sunglasses: D&G – Shoes: Ostwald Helgason for ALDO

We all know I’m silk obsessed. Well, I recently got a crazy splatter print silk variation of a superman cape from Jane Suda. Yup, next level. So, in true superman fashion, I headed up to one of the rooftop terraces at my apartment and tried to balance in the wind. Don’t worry, I know I can’t fly. Unfortunately, the photos didn’t turn out nearly as heroic/superman-esque as I imagined, but here are some of what we got.
